Amid growing panic in the wake of rising death toll from swine flu, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday said that yoga had the power to cure Influenza A(H1N1).

While addressing a press conference Baba Ramdev said, “There is no need to panic.”

US Police has Arrested An Indian engineer whose Name is Nityanand Gopalika on charges of using Internet for soliciting young girls for sex.

Nityanand Gopalika 30, a native of India on a work visa in the US as an engineer.

In a statement, the Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett said Gopalika allegedly used an Internet chat room to approach what he believed was a 13-year old girl from the Pittsburgh area.

The "girl" was actually an undercover agent from the Child Predator Unit.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the Attorney General's Child Predator Unit, Gopalika engaged in a series of chats over several days questioning the girl about her sexual experience and describing the sex acts he wished to engage in.

Gopalika is also accused of sending the girl two web cam videos that showed him nude.

Gopalika was arrested on July 1 when he arrived at a predetermined meeting location in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Joshi, who allegedly made some derogatory remarks against Ms. Mayawati at a public meeting here, was arrested in Ghaziabad last night while she was on her way to Delhi.

She has been booked under 153 A (delivering inflammatory speeches) and section 109 of IPC (using abusive language) besides under provisions of SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act, Additional Director General of Police Brij Lal said.

Ms. Joshi's house on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg in a high security zone, a stone's throw from the Chief Minister's secretariat, in Lucknow, was attacked last night by alleged BSP activists.

A portion of the house was set on fire but there was no casualty, police sources here said.

Mohammad Ashraf told Imran Mirza, Sania's father, that the tennis star could not marry anyone else as she "was born for me".

He also demanded that her engagement with family friend Sohrab Mirza, scheduled for Friday, be cancelled. An alarmed Imran Mirza called the police who have taken him into custody.He has been produced in court and remanded for a fortnight. Mirza, 22, is one of the top ranking players. 'Threatening'

In his complaint to the police, Mr Mirza says Mr Ashraf claims to be in love with the tennis star ever since he saw her playing a match in Bangalore two years ago.
Mr Mirza has also complained that the youth was sending text messages and making threatening calls to his daughter for some time.
Mr Ashraf arrived at Ms Mirza's home in Hyderabad city's upmarket home in Banjara Hills area on Tuesday evening accompanied by his friend Devadeesh Mohanty.

"How can you engage Sania to another person when she was born for me?" Mr Ashraf is reported to have asked the tennis player's father.

"He was threatening to commit suicide if Sania did not marry him," Mr Mirza told the police.

The two men have been arrested and have been charged with trespass and creating a nuisance.

Mr Ashraf has been identified as a civil engineer from Bangalore

Third Stimulus Package Budget - Farewell Bonanza from UPA

The UPA Government has finally gone into damage repair mode with the announcement of its third stimulus package to bolster the sagging economy. Sh. Pranab Mukherjee who faced a lot of criticism after presenting a lackluster budget has announced a cut in Service Tax and Excise Duty by 2%.

Therefore, around ninety percent of manufactured goods which at present attracted 10% of Excise Duty, items like Washing Machines, Television, Refrigerators, soaps and cola are set to go cheaper with the cut in Excise Duty to 8%.

Phone bills, airline tickets, tour packages are all set to go cheaper with the Service Tax reduction to 10%. This reduction of 2% in Service Tax is set to spur consumer spending and contribute towards strengthening of sectors like tourism, telecom, civil aviation and hospitality.

The Finance Ministry has surely touched the right notes at the right time after a heavy pounding it got for its interim budget inside parliament. The cuts in Excise Duty will certainly go down well with the India Inc. and the common man at large whose household budget is set to come down in the wake of these fresh announcements.

The Market
The Dalal Streets immediate reaction to the budget was one of disappointment. Both the NIFTY and the SENSEX fell 3% each. Realty, banking and metal shares among the worst hit.

* GDP increased by 7.5, 9.5, 9.7 and 9 percent in the first four years from fiscal 04-05 to 07-08 reflecting a sustained progression of more than 9 % for three successive years. * Fiscal deficit down to 2.7% in 07-08 as compared to 4.5% in 03-04. * Gross capital formation in agriculture as a proportion of agriculture GDP increased from 11.1% to 14.2% in 03-04 and 07-08 respectively. * Tax to GDP ratio increased from 9.2% in 03-04 to 12.5% in 07-08. * Annual growth of agriculture rose to 3.7% during 03-04 and 07-08. * Exports grew at an annual average growth rate of 26.4% (USD terms) in the period 04-05 to 07-08. * Manufacturing sector recorded a growth of 9.5% between the period 04-05 to 07-08. * Communication and construction sector grew at the rate of 26 and 13.5 percent respectively. * Domestic Investment rate as a proportion of GDP increased from 27.6% to 39% in 03-04 and 07-08 respectively.

In his effort towards battling the on-going recession Mr. Mukherjee, allocated Rs. 30,100 cr to the rural development program of the government. He refrained from making any alteration in the tax and duty rates.

Pandharpur is a town in district Solapur in state of Maharashtra in Western India. It is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Maharashtra. It is located 65 km west of Sholapur, on the banks of the river Bhima, which is also known as Chandrabhaga. Known as "Sourthern Kashi of India", Pandharpur proudly hosts the "Kuladivat" of Maharashtra State- Shree Vithoba and Rukmini, on the banks of the river.

The worship of Vishnu - Vitthala at Pandharpur is derived mainly from the puranas and has been augmented by the contribution of the great Vaishnava saints of Maharashtra and Karnataka from the 13th through the 17th centuries like Dnyaneshwar, Namdev, Sant Eknath, Tukaram, Purandara Dasa, Vijaya Dasa, Gopala Dasa, Jagannatha Dasa, Chokhamela, Janabai and many others.

This temple, covering a vast area, has a total of six gates. The eastern entrance to this temple is known as the Namdev gate. The sanctum enshrines a standing image of Vithoba. Stylistically the image dates back to the 5th century BC. There are inscriptions in this temple dating back to the 13th century. In the temple of Vithoba, `Pad-Sparsha-Darshan`, is a special ceremony. Irrespective of caste any devotee can enter the sanctum sanctorum and can place his/ her head at the feet of Vitthal.

ON 30 June ,2009 ,at around 5:30am on June 30, an unoccupied building still under construction at Palm Beach Road in the New Mumbai district of Mumbai city toppled over. One worker was killed. According to information, a 70 meter section of the flood prevention wall in nearby Creek Stream which connects with Arabian Sea collapsed that may have something to do with this building collapse.

But the high-resolution photos are really amazing.

The dead included eight children, same number of women and four men, they said adding, the injured were admitted to the government-run J J Hospital.

Ms Roshni Nadar, daughter of HCL founder Mr Shiv Nadar, has taken over as Executive Director and CEO of HCL Corporation.
