Imageshack Hacked ! Imageshack Hacked by Anti-sec Movement

Popular image hosting service ImageShack was hacked Friday evening (July 10) by a group calling itself Anti-Sec.

The Imageshack hack saw all images hosted on the service replaced by an image that detailed Anti-Sec’s manifesto. The group also distributed a copy of their manifesto to Imageshack’s users via the same email facility used to update Imageshack users with site updates and news.

Anti-Sec is calling on the security industry to stop the practice of full disclosure, the practice of publicly making available exploits and security vulnerabilities. According to the group, full disclosure is a scam that helps security companies sell software such as firewalls and anti-virus tools as the published exploits can and are used by script kiddies; that is the companies are purposely empowering those doing the wrong thing so as to create more fear and exploits as part of driving business for services that offer protection against these things.

There’s no official word from ImageShack yet as to when the service may return to normal, although at the time of writing parts of the site would appear to be working. Anti-Sec suggests in their manifesto that images on ImageShack have not been deleted.

Tommy dorsey

Born on November 27, 1905, Tommy Dorsey was a famous musician, most noted as the “Sentimental Gentleman of Swing.” His father taught him at a very early age to play the trombone. He developed his own style, denoted by a very up-beat tempo. Dorsey went on to play with many great musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, and Glenn Miller. Despite their feuds, he and his brother Jimmy played together for many years. Dorsey embarked on other ventures including publishing a magazine, owning the Casino Gardens, purchasing a radio station, and acting. Dorsey died in Greenwich, CT, on November 25, 1956; he choked to death on food in his sleep.

Sinatra was Tommy Dorsey's lead vocalist, backed by the Pied Pipers on at least ten of his chart hits. The Pied Pipers were a quartet of three men and one woman, who happened to be Jo Stafford. Stafford's first hit came in 1941, a song called Yes Indeed that she sang solo. Tommy Dorsey allegedly fired one of the Pied Pipers in 1942, which led to the departure of the whole group in a show of team unity. With the eventual departure of Sinatra in 1942, Tommy turned to Dick Haymes for vocal leadership. A bit of trivia: a certain trumpet player joined Dorsey after his discharge following World War II. The kid was young, and talent was still raw, but Dorsey saw something he liked. That trumpeter was Carl "Doc" Severinson.

Throgs Neck Bridge Fire, Throgs Neck Bridge Traffic Pictures,Photos

A 3-alarm fire on the Throgs Neck Bridge closed all lanes in both directions, snarling the Friday morning commute.

Chopper 2 HD was over the scene of the bridge fire as traffic could be seen backed up for miles.

The fire, originating from a construction platform under the bridge, began just before 5 a.m.

MTA Bridges and Tunnels spokeswoman Catherine Sweeney says traffic is being diverted to the Bronx Whitestone and RFK bridges.

It appeared as though construction material on the Queens side of the bridge caught fire first. It is unknown what caused the blaze to break out.

There are 33 fire units with 130 firemen on the scene, including an FDNY marine boat to help with the fire from below the bridge.

The bridge connects the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx with the Bayside section of Queens. It was opened in 1961 and was built to relieve traffic on the adjacent Whitestone Bridge.

The fire broke out under the Queens side of the bridge sometime around 5 a.m., FDNY officials said. Officials first closed some lanes, but the New York State Department of Transportation said the entire bridge was closed by 6:30 a.m.

The bridge was expected to be closed at least four hours, according to the NYSDOT
